Bass Fishing

Riverbend Campground is a host to 3 to 5 different Bassmaster Tournaments each year.

From our boat launch, you can take a beautiful 1-Mile river ride out to the Androscoggin Lake where you have access to some of Maine’s most productive Bass fishing areas along the way. Spring and Fall are great times to find Large and Small Mouth Bass and brown trout weighing 1 to 3 lbs. Other species of fish that can be found here include White and Yellow Perch, Horn-Pout (catfish) and the Eastern Chain Pickerel.

For the bass enthusiasts, an abundance of Large and Smallmouth bass weighing between 3 – 5 lbs, but if you’re “Good” greater than 8 lbs can be caught. Camping is available for all tournaments. Call Now and Reserve Your Site!

Ramp access is available for campers and for Public usage. Stop at the office to pay a ramp fee and obtain a pass. Campers are $3 per camp reservation. Public usage is $5 per launch.

Leeds, Maine, and the surrounding area offer several exciting activities for campers to enjoy outside of Riverbend Campground. Here are three things that campers might find exciting

Hiking and Exploring

Leeds is located in a picturesque part of Maine with access to beautiful natural landscapes. Campers can explore nearby hiking trails, such as the Androscoggin Riverlands State Park, which offers a variety of trails suitable for different skill levels. The park provides opportunities for birdwatching, wildlife observation, and enjoying the scenic views of the Androscoggin River.


For those who enjoy golfing, Leeds is home to the Fox Ridge Golf Club, a well-maintained golf course set in a lovely rural landscape. Campers can spend a day on the greens, enjoying a round of golf with friends or family. It’s a great way to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.

Historical Exploration

Leeds and the surrounding region have a rich history, and campers can explore local historical sites. The Leeds Historical Society Museum is a great place to learn about the area’s past. Additionally, nearby towns like Augusta and Lewiston offer historical museums and attractions, including the Maine State Museum and the Bates College Museum of Art.

The Most Direct Route from I-95 To Us!

Maine Turnpike I-95 North/South to Exit 86

Turn Left off the ramp onto Rte 9.
You can then take your second right onto Pleasant Hill Road.
This is a short cut but semi steep at first.
Or you can continue on Rte 9 for 1.5 miles to Rte 126/Rte 9.
Turn Right onto Rte 126/Rte 9 – follow for 0.9 miles to Rte 132N.
Turn Left onto Rte 132N (this is where the shortcut will take you as well. You would cross over Rte 126/Rte 9).
Follow Rte 132 North for about 4-6 miles until you see Frost’s Furniture sign (on your right) and Leeds Junction Road (on your left).
This is an easy to miss turn – watch for blue road sign on right.
Turn Left onto Leeds Junction Road.
Follow for another 5-7 miles until you end on Rte 202.
Turn right onto Rte 202 follow for about 1 mile.
Rte 106 turn is on your left (after Spring Brook Golf Club).
Follow for 8 miles and we are on your Left – After Black Iron Bridge (bridge clearance is 14’ 1”).

Maine Turnpike I-95 North to Exit 75 at Auburn

Then onto Rt. 202 East for about 30 minutes to Rt. 106 North.
8 miles to Riverbend Campgrounds.

Maine Turnpike I-95 North to Exit 80 at Lewiston

Then onto Rt. 196 to 202 East to Rt. 106 North.
8 miles to Riverbend Campgrounds.

Maine Turnpike 1-95 Augusta take Exit 109B Winthrop/Rt. 202 West

Then take Rt. 133 North into Wayne.
Then turn onto 219 West.
Turn onto Rt. 106 South.
2 miles to Riverbend Campground.
You can also stay on Rte 202 West until Rte 106 then turn left onto Rte 106 and follow 8 miles.
